Moet & Chandon Extra Brut Grand Vintage Rose 2013
Following in the footsteps of the vintage before it, the 44th Grand Vintage Rosé further enhances an inspired collection of Moët & Chandon vintage champagnes. Full and fruity with an intriguingly spicy edge to it, this rosé champagne has been cellared for a minimum of five years, developing deep notes of leather, chocolate and dried flowers.
TASTING NOTES
On the eye: Bright pink with hints of orange.
On the nose: Initial sweet notes are followed by wild red berries and pomegranate, blood orange and star anise. Black pepper, cinnamon and mature notes of leather and dried flowers complete the aroma profile.
On the palate: On the palate this champagne is voluptuous. Plums and cherries are followed by pink grapefruit and lime zest.
PAIRING
Choose warm and toasty flavors to complement this champagne's maturity, and serve with a sharp or slightly bitter sauce to match grapefruit notes on the finish.
