Billecart-Salmon Extra Brut 2016
This wine, with an extra brut dosage, is dominated by great Pinot Noir flavors which is tempered by the elegance of the Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs and that signature touch of Pinot Meunier.
THE VINTAGE
The year 2016 was marked by a chain of extreme weather events: frost, hail, rain, heatwave... The sunshine of August allowed the grapes to ripen beautifully in their final stretch. After this intense year, the 2016 harvest offers a gratifying conclusion to the year that was endured: great health conditions, a degree of ripeness preserving freshness and a fine acidity for the vintage. Billecart-Salmon was able to exploit all the facets of this vintage to craft a remarkable wine that is both palatable while displaying stunning tension.
